Born in Nagoya, Japan, Tomo loved improvising music from a young age. At fourteen, she began studying composition with the hope of creating music that could warm the heart.
In her twenties, she wrote music across many genres — string quartets, wind ensembles, musicals, and video game soundtracks.
But as her twenties drew to a close, she began searching for the kind of music she truly wished to create.
A few days after her thirtieth birthday, she suddenly became ill.
She developed arthritis, and a life marked by constant, widespread pain began.
Amid the long days of enduring suffering, philosophical questions quietly arose within her:
“Why do we live?”
“What is happiness?”
Taking gentle walks for rehabilitation became part of her daily routine.
She would walk a few slow steps, stop when exhausted, and lift her eyes to the sky.
Then one day, the world appeared different.
Her body ached everywhere, her breathing was strained — and yet, the world shone with a strange, breathtaking radiance.
She felt the quiet breath of the trees, the tenderness of the wind, the golden shimmer of the light.
Overwhelmed by its beauty, she realized that the world had always been this magnificent — she had simply not noticed.
Tears traced her cheeks as she felt its warmth and gentle presence.
Since then, she has gathered each small fragment of nature’s beauty and woven them into music.
She had finally found the sound she was meant to create.
Her music opens vast, quiet landscapes within the heart, soothing both mind and body.
Many are moved to tears by its delicate beauty.
In 2024, she began performing, hoping to let people feel the true nature of this world —
a beauty that lies beyond the music itself.
By experiencing the world Tomo discovered, through her music and her performances,
a doorway of perception opens, allowing people to notice the richness woven into their own daily lives.
Happiness begins with awareness.
She continues creating music, offering through her art a simple yet profound reminder:
each moment of our lives is a beautifully miraculous one.
